Bauchi Engineers Developed Modern Hand Washing Facility

A team of engineers from Tertiary Institutions across Bauchi State have developed a modern hand washing facility as part of their contributions to the fight against Covid 19 and other diseases.

The machine which uses dual power source of electricity and solar also has three components of hand washing, drying and temperature taking.

Presenting the machine to Governor Bala Muhammad in Government House Bauchi, leader of the engineers Abubakar Ibrahim Musa said the move followed realization for the need of the Facility in public places.

  Abubakar Musa explained that after conceiving the idea, a concerted effort was made to made to produce the machine in line with international standard.

 Inspecting the Facility, Governor Bala Muhammad expressed joy for the innovation describing it as a welcome Development.

Bala Muhammad who pledge to support them with all necessary assistance towards producing sufficient number of the Facility for distribution to schools and strategic places, called on National Centre for Disease Control NCDC and Federal Governor to encourage such innovators.

According to him the innovation came at a time the state and the country are looking for technological solution to health challenges.

The innovators are staff and students from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic and members of the state Medical Students Association.
